Why we exist
Long NHS waits don't just delay a diagnosis — they delay access to school support, workplace adjustments, therapy, and simply understanding yourself or your child. Kent Independent Autism and ADHD Service exists to give local families a faster, affordable route to a rigorous assessment, without cutting corners on clinical quality.
As a Community Interest Company, we operate under an asset lock: profit isn't paid out to shareholders. It's reinvested into subsidising assessments for families who couldn't otherwise afford one, and into free post-diagnostic support.

Every assessment is carried out by two independent clinicians working together, not a single opinion signed off alone.
Your assessor conducts your initial screening, gathers developmental and family history, and carries out your live diagnostic interview using gold-standard tools — ADOS-2 for autism, DIVA-5 for ADHD.
Your independent psychologist — a fully qualified, HCPC-registered Clinical or Educational Psychologist working independently of the assessment session — then reviews your full file, checks it against diagnostic criteria, and co-signs your final report.
That means every diagnosis you receive has been independently verified before it reaches you, built into every assessment as standard.
We're launching with a small, carefully supported pilot cohort before opening more widely across Kent and Medway.
